Isaac here- Its been a long while since I have written in the blogger world. I am not a huge fan of status updates, tweets or even blogging but I write every once in a while. I appreciate all the time and effort Whit puts in this blog. Don't you? She is so creative!

I'll give a little update on a couple of things that are going on and that are upcoming -

- So pretty soon we are going to go register for our wedding. I don't know what to think about it?!? I always thought registering was weird and was going to be a long process. I don't know why but I did. You go scan things you want into this little scanner and people buy those things for you. I guess its better than people giving random gifts. (if your reading this and you are one of those people that will give us a random gift, that is ok. I will still like you: ) ) If I had it my way I would be at Best Buy all day with a scanner in my hand. :) But I don't think it works that way. I am pretty excited though and hope we can find essential items that we can use as a married couple.

- We are also looking at houses. We have been thru some and are searching online. We haven't decided yet on what we are going to do. I am not a fan of renting but if we have to for a while then so be it. There are some pretty sweet lofts in Bloomington and I am excited to go thru some. Shoot, I am just excited overall. I have been a home body all of my life and being able to have a place of my own excites me! We will keep you updated!! In the mean time enjoy future posts by the creative and talented Whitney and some by the not so creative me. :)

Love - Isaac

Battle of the Wedding Bands

Finding a ring for Isaac has been a journey in and of itself. I started searching the internet for inspiration the moment we got engaged, a good 7 months ago. If you haven't noticed already, Isaac and I are a little more out of the box so we don't like most 'run of the mill' rings... like this one...
So looking through countless amounts of pictures really helped me form an idea of what I wanted for him, or rather what I didn't want. Rule #1. NO RINGS THAT LOOKED STRAIGHT OUT OF THE 80'S. I feel like the only person that would wear this ring is a Casino owner.I liked the look of diamonds but didn't want too many that it looked almost feminine... like this ring. I can imagine homosexual males wearing a ring like this one.... and, SURPRISE! Isaac isn't a homosexual male, so this isn't the ring for him. So rule #2 NO FEMININE RINGS

Then I tried searching for more modern looking rings. And this is no easy feat, let me tell you, because when I typed the word 'Modern' it apparently thinks I typed the words 'John Gosselin' in the search bar and brings up ugly rings like this one.... trashy, classless, tacky... Isaac is none of those things. Rule #3 NO JOHN GOSSELIN RINGSFinally I found a ring that I liked but felt needed a few changes... like a black band and all black diamonds... but when you start to customize something, it becomes pretty pricey. I went through three different jewelers to try to make this ring work. But sadly, my bank account was screaming at me, and I had to put my customizing ways behind me. Rule #4 NO CUSTOMIZED RINGS
So I prayed and I prayed and I prayed some more that God would put my search to an end and show me the perfect ring.... one that wouldn't scratch, one that was in my price range, one with a black band and a few diamonds- the perfect style. That's when I stumbled upon the Triton website. I found this ring- Thee Perfect Ring!!!! It was only HALF of the amount I had originally saved for Isaac's ring, leaving me with a nice bundle of money to put towards my flowers!!!!!!

So my search is over and my heart is happy. God is good.

Wedding Dress Woes

What do these pictures have in common?

I'll give you a hint... it's the same problem I have with my dress....
Still not getting it?
Ok I'll tell you.
Little and Big. Big and Little. Large and Tiny.
A few weeks ago I received an email saying that my wedding dress had been shipped and was ready for pick up... in California. So it worked out that we had planned a trip over Labor Day to go see my parents and the new puppies they just bought!!! But anyways, I brought my mom and one of my best friends, Katie, to the store, keeping in mind that my dress was probably going to need a lot of alterations... but what I hadn't prepared myself for was that I would be SWIMMING in the dress.
The sample dress I had originally tried on was a size eight, and that was big enough on me that I still needed them to clip the back to keep it on.....
So one would think that maybe...just maybe... I was a size SIX.....
but NO....
My smart sales lady ordered me a size TWELVE!!!
Did you hear that? My dress fits around the top.... and I do not, nor have I ever had size twelve boobs. I could make TWO dresses out of the one she ordered me....almost.
So here I am, in a little bit of a dilemma... trying to remind myself that this can be fixed.
Anyone know of a good seamstress?????

Oh boys, oh boys, oh boys

We just had our engagement shoot with the one and only Tami Paige, and let me be the first to say that they are going to be fabulous. I have 100% confidence in my dear cousin. I mean how can you go wrong with a mint green wing back chair and a silver side table for props. She definately knows what she's doing and we had so much fun being her subjects for the afternoon.

With Kate's help, I had a little fun styling this shoot... maybe a little too much. Isaac may or may not have looked like these handsome fellows....

And in my styling craziness... I may or may not have desperately failed at taking a few pointers from KK....

False eye lashes are only for the famous I guess.
We'll see in a couple of months when the pictures are done how those false eye lashes worked out for me... good I hope ... fingers crossed.

Engagement Photo Shoot

It's been a little quiet around here lately so I thought I'd write a little something something. So this may be jumping the gun a little bit but I'm TOO EXCITED!!!!!!!! In case you don't know, my beautiful and insanely talented cousin Tami Paige has her own photography business and she has agreed to take me and Isaac's engagement photos the last week of August!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I've already called up Kaitlin and asked her to style me (and Isaac) pretty for the shoot... and unbeknownst to Tami, I asked her to tag along to help Tami out that day. So it should be a crazy fun day with those two.

Last year when Tami decided to start her own photography business, she asked me and Isaac to pose for her so she could build her couples portfolio, and we said yes with out any hesitation. Tami has always been creative and artistic, all the Inoue girls are, and I've looked up to them and admired them for it, so I knew with out a doubt in my mind that Tami has what it takes to be awesome.... and I was right. Here are some of the pictures from that first shoot....

She is so flexible and she will try anything you want her to. Isaac and I like the more modern style photography and that's exactly what she gave us, but she can do anything. SO BOOK HER! You won't be dissappointed!
You can also check out her amazingness here http://tamipaigephotography.blogspot.com/
ps. Keep your eyes peeled in the next couple of months for a peek at the engagement shoot!
