What do these pictures have in common?
Still not getting it?
Ok I'll tell you.
Little and Big. Big and Little. Large and Tiny.
A few weeks ago I received an email saying that my wedding dress had been shipped and was ready for pick up... in California. So it worked out that we had planned a trip over Labor Day to go see my parents and the new puppies they just bought!!! But anyways, I brought my mom and one of my best friends, Katie, to the store, keeping in mind that my dress was probably going to need a lot of alterations... but what I hadn't prepared myself for was that I would be SWIMMING in the dress.
The sample dress I had originally tried on was a size eight, and that was big enough on me that I still needed them to clip the back to keep it on.....
So one would think that maybe...just maybe... I was a size SIX.....
but NO....
My smart sales lady ordered me a size TWELVE!!!
Did you hear that? My dress fits around the top.... and I do not, nor have I ever had size twelve boobs. I could make TWO dresses out of the one she ordered me....almost.
So here I am, in a little bit of a dilemma... trying to remind myself that this can be fixed.
Anyone know of a good seamstress?????
I actually know a fabulous seamstress that we worked with for Rika's dress! We had to alter a size 10 down to a 2. And it looked amazing...you would never know it had been altered. And she's very reasonably priced! Just give me a call or e-mail me about it and I can give you her info. She's nice too...I liked her a lot.
ReplyDeleteI was going to tell you the same thing Whit! She is fabulous! She did a great job and did it in the time we needed it done too! Call Bek, because I don't remember her name, but she comes highly recommended!
ReplyDeleteAH!! that's exactly what i need! Ok, when my mom ships my dress back, I'll give you a call Beka... if I call you now, i'll forget. Thanks SOOO much!
